Experiment : Ice

Hello knowledge-hungry-human

Now we'll experiment with something cool. Yeah by that I mean literally cold. Check this picture below first though.

Yeah! It's an awesome ball of ice! How'd I make it? It's actually an accident though. I was just filling a baloon with water one day and I just throw it out in the balcony. Don't ask me why I did that. So anyway I can't be bothered to get it in the freezing weather so I just left it.

About 2-3 weeks later i remembered this.. uhm... thing. I get it inside (it's heavy) and rip the baloon. And voila!!! It's so beautiful. Test it out for yourself :D now I'm experimenting with the rubber gloves like those doctors use. Imagine how cool would that be huh?

Anyway i'll give you one proven fact. Boiling water freezes faster than roim temperature water. So next time you're going to bet with someone on whose water'll freeze faster, boil it first!!!

Philosophy Story: The Liar Paradox

Liar, liar bum on fire! Long time no post. But here it goes. I have two stories to tell and questions you have to answer afterwards. Both are related though so yeah no worries. Let us go to the first story. I found this one on the book my teacher gave me. It's so awesome. Now read.

A guy was walking down the road one day. He met an old wise-looking man. The old man spoke, "The first thing said to you by the first guy you meet today is a lie, don't believe whatever he says!". The guy stopped and say thanks to the man and continued his journey. After a few steps he realized that the old man was the first guy he met today!

And the question is... Was the old man saying the truth? (Warning: headache alert). Now on to the second story. This story I've heard from when I was a child. Here it is.

Another guy was walking down the road also. He wanted to go to Truthville where people will always say the truth. But in the middle of his journey the road diverged in two. Two men were on each path sitting. One of them should be from Truthville. But the other one should be from Lieville where people always tell lies. As he approach and about to ask questions to both of them the Royal Guards came and told him that he is only allowed to ask one question to each man and he will pass. If he asks more than one question to each man, he'll be sent back to where he came from.

Yup and the question is... What should he ask to each man?

Curiosity: What is the purpose of life?

Have you ever wonder what the heck are we doing in this whole big vast empty world? Have you found yourself so meaningless to this world? Have you ever tried to define what is life? Big question huh? Indeed it is.

What is life? Is it being born, learning how to walk, studying math, eat, sleep, work our ass off and JUST die? Is it just that? Or would there be something else AFTER this "life"? Well if there isn't then I could just drink vodka and fuck all the chicks in the world every night wouldn't I? Good thing I'm one of those religious person who believes in life after death. Let us not talk about religion here as it is very subjective. But once again I can't look at myself objectively.

Back to the topic, life. Once I imagine being a god of my toys. I made my power ranger toy a house. I gave it a wife, even a dog. Then I just left it. Then I think to myself. In real life, am I that power ranger I just threw away? Is God TOYING with us? Hopefully not.

It would take years and years and years of discussion and this single, simple, 5 word question cannot be answered. Especially if I'm the only one who's talking about it. So please please please comment below :D

Future Questions :Time Travel Paradox

Have you ever watched "back to the future"? Of course you do. When the boy gets on his super speed car and go back in time to see his past but then he's trapped and wanted to go back to the future. Now we're not going to talk about the movie though. We're gonna talk about this awesome question "Is time travel really possible?"

First definition. What the heck is time travel anyways. My opinion though time travel is when you either go back to the past or to the future. Hmm, after we went back to the past or to the future, then what? Will we still be in the same place? The same exact spot where the we "warped" from? To answer that I think we'll have to figure out HOW to timetravel (TT for short)

Well we know the fastest thing found so far is light right? Well then what if we travel faster than light? I know it's still impossible to do that cause in order to do that our mass should be zero. Or well near zero. I imagine myself when going faster than light, I could actually see what's happening even before I was there. So it's like I'm seeing myself in the past few moments. Well If that's really "how" you'll travel through time in the future then TT didn't just change the time you're in. But also where your ass was. Hmmm nice I made a theory myself.

But if I do that, will I be able to change the course of history. Like for instance I went faster than the speed of light. Suddenly a meteor hit me. I WAS faster than light yes? So I would actually see myself crash the meteor. Will I be able to push myself and just let the meteor woosh by? Hopefully yes -_- I still don't know. You guys have any idea how this works?

The other questions that really bugged me though is this. If I go back in time, and I met my mother before she met my father (meaning they aren't married and my mother wasn't pregnant hopefully -,-) And for some experimental reason; uhm well, I kill her. Would I still exist? What happened to my mother in the future where I come from? I've even made 3 theories on this

Theory 1
I would simply "disappear". Because my mother's dead. And my brothers and sister too. Even my mother in the future would just dissolve in thin air. Simple huh?

Theory 2
I still would exist, my brothers and sisters too. Even my mother. But suppose I was from 2010 and killed my mother in 1980. Between those gap I, my brothers and sisters and my mom would just disappear. They still exist. But they exist in another dimensions of nothingness waiting to be thrown back to real world in 2010. Getting complicated? Check out theory 3 then!

Theory 3
I would still exist, my brothers and sisters too. But sadly not my mom. Cause in the future I'll have another mom. Well yeah maybe my face and skin tone would change a bit because of genes that my "new" mom inherited, but I still exist. Think of it this way. Suppose you want to go to France from Switzerland. Then you go there by train for example. And then you go back in time and jammed the train. You will still be able to go to France by plane, or by car, or walking. The bottom line is you will BE in France. Same thing with mother. Either your mother's an asian or latino or brunette, you will still BE here.

Ok guys that was my theories of Time travel. Got any other theories? Just comment below!

Curiosity: The Mirror Paradox

Take a mirror. Point to your right and see your hand that points in the mirror. Where did the other "you" in the mirror points at? To the left, right?

Or look into the mirror and hold your right eye. Which eye did your other "you" hold? Your left eye, right?

This always bother me. I notice this in my art lesson where we are suppose to make a self portrait with the aid of a mirror. And what bothers me is, "if mirrors reverse what's right to left, why wouldn't it reverse what's up to down?". Haven't you guys notice it? It's pretty weird right? Okay well that's just one thing of this so called mirror paradox that I'm concerned with. There's another thing though.

Suppose you have a text and put it in front of the mirror. The text in the mirror would be unreadable. I mean yeah you can still read it but all the letters are like reversed left to right correct? What concerned me though is that "instead of reversing letter one by one, why can't mirrors reverse one whole sentence or one whole paragraph?". See now with just this one mirror our world seems to look complicated. There's still bunch of question like from "what is mirrors made of" or "are glasses and mirrors made out of the same substance" or "how do they make mirrors?" but I'll just stay with this for now.
